About us
Coltsfoot is an exclusive use venue for Weddings and Events, situated in traditional barns and acres of countryside.
As the proprietors of Coltsfoot, we are very involved in the day to day running of our exclusive use venue, and try to oversee the majority of weddings and events at our establishment.
Having started conversions in 1998 from a working livery, we opened in 2000 as a small hotel and restaurant. Initially we only opened our restaurant to residents but gradually there was a demand for us to open the restaurant to the general public. After a few private wedding events, word was spreading and the rest, as they say, is history.
Our converted barn venue has been lovingly maintained and any improvements have all been empathetically completed. The main barn is now a lot lighter enhancing the stunning views over the countryside. This also has enabled us to accommodate a larger number of guests for the wedding breakfast.
For our sit down wedding breakfast we can seat 120 guests in our main barn. For the evening we can hold 180 guests in total.

The small details
In January 2020 we decided to transform the main barn area by removing the mezzanine floor and opening up the ceiling. This involved removing two of our bedrooms, which have been replaced by two Shepherd’s Huts. The whole main barn has transformed itself, with vaulted ceilings and beams. The mezzanine has been relocated to the right of the entrance and allows a larger area for guests to relax in, yet still feel part of the wedding.
This is without forgetting the venue's biggest attraction.... the Alpacas. If you like, they can even feature in your wedding photographs, they love a photo!
