The Horns Pub - Bulls Green, Datchworth, Hertfordshire
The Horns Pub is located in Bulls Green, 500 yards from Coltsfoot Country Retreat. It offers a traditional British menu, based on fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
The Horns is an old traditional English country pub. Parts of it are thought to date to the 15th century. Pleasantly refurbished, The Horns retains many of its 500-year-old features: open fires, old beams, vaulted ceilings and ancient doors.
It even boasts its own ghost: it is rumoured that Walter Clibbon still haunts The Horns today (Clibbon was a notorious highwayman who terrorised this part of Hertfordshire in the late 18th century. When he was eventually killed his body was laid in The Horns overnight while the locals celebrated his demise. Clibbon’s Post, beside the Datchworth to Bramfield road, marks his final resting place).
The Horns offers a warm welcome and excellent service. We serve fresh, locally sourced food, complemented by quality beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks, coffee liqueurs and hot drinks. Please look out for our daily specials - our traditional Sunday lunch is a must!
Relax in our cosy bar with its open fireplaces and imposing ceilings or enjoy our beautiful beer garden.
